Intesa Sanpaolo Vita Fitch Ratings has lowered after similar action on Italy

Milan, 15 May 2020 – Intesa Sanpaolo Vita communicates that today the international rating agency Fitch has lowered the Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) rating from BBB+ to BBB and the Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) from BBB to BBB-, with a stable outlook.

This action follows the downgrade of Italy’s sovereign ratings to ‘BBB-’ from ‘BBB’, with a stable outlook, and to ‘F3’ from ‘F2’, as Fitch Ratings announced the last 28 April 2020 and the same action concerning the Parent Company Intesa Sanpaolo published the last 12 May.

The rating agency also reduced the subordinated debt rating form BB+ to BB.
